Study on the ecological effects of organic farming in the habitat of crested ibis in Yang County based on spatial analysis

  • 摘要:
      目的  有机农业的发展为自然保护地生态保护与经济发展的协调提供了可能性,本研究力图从区域视角对朱鹮栖息地的有机农业生态效应进行科学评估。
      方法  本研究以GIS(Geographic Information System)空间分析为手段,采用土地利用变化分析、生境质量分析和生态敏感性分析3种方法,结合空间可视化分析手段,全面探究朱鹮栖息地以有机农业为主导产业的发展策略是否有益于当地的生态环境。
      结果  结果表明,经过多年的生态保护和有机农业的可持续发展,当地适宜朱鹮繁衍和觅食的土地利用类型林地、水田和水域面积都得到扩大,从2000—2020年的20年间共计扩大21.56 km2,截至2020年已共计占据了全县国土面积的79.71%,这是当地生物多样性保护取得成效的证明,也为有机农业的发展奠定了基础。经过10余年的有机农业发展,农业活动并未对生境造成影响,区域生境质量仍处于较高水平,整体生境质量指数达0.768,能够为朱鹮繁衍和生物多样性保护提供足够的资源和空间。而在面对未来可能发生的生态环境问题上,朱鹮栖息地表现出一定的抗逆力,整体生态敏感性为中等偏低程度,中等敏感性面积最大;尤其在有机农业的主产区,表现出生境质量高,生态敏感性低的可喜表现。
      结论  研究证实了有机农业对生态环境具有积极作用,保证了土地利用的可持续性,保障了生境质量,确保了生态系统的健康发展,使得生态保护与经济发展的协调成为可能,绿水青山和金山银山之间的循环路径得到打通。

     

    Abstract:
      Objectives  The development of organic farming offered the possibility of coordinating ecological conservation and economic development in nature reserves, and this study sought to scientifically assess the ecological effects of organic farming in the crested ibis habitat from a regional perspective.
      Methods  This study used GIS spatial analysis as a base tool, combined three methods of land use change analysis, habitat quality analysis, and ecological sensitivity analysis with the means of spatial visualization analysis, to investigate holistically whether the development strategy of organic agriculture as the leading industry in the ibis habitat was beneficial to the local ecological environment.
      Result  The results showed that after years of ecological protection and sustainable development of organic agriculture, the area of forest, paddy field, and the water area of the local land-use types suitable for breeding and foraging of the crested ibis have been expanded, with a total expansion of 21.56 km2 in the twenty years from 2000 to 2020. In 2020, the area has occupied a total of 79.71% of the county’s land area, which could be the evidence of the effectiveness of local biodiversity conservation and has laid the foundation for the development of organic agriculture. After more than ten years of organic farming development, the regional habitat quality was still at high level, the overall habitat quality index amounted to 0.768 and can provide enough resources and space for the breeding of the crested ibis and biodiversity conservation. And in the face of possible future ecological and environmental problems, the ibis habitat showed some resilience, overall ecological sensitivity was moderately low, with the largest area of moderate sensitivity, especially in the main production areas of organic agriculture, which showed a promising performance of high habitat quality and low ecological sensitivity.
      Conclusions  The study confirmed that organic agriculture produced a positive effect on the ecological environment, ensured the sustainability of land use, safeguarded the quality of habitats, and guaranteed the healthy development of ecosystems, making it possible to harmonize ecological protection and economic development and to open up the cyclic paths between the green hills and the silver mountains.
